Course area information

Built Environment at Redcar and Cleveland College has a large portfolio of courses from Pre-foundation level through to Level 4 HNC. We can offer a clear career pathway from craft level through to technician level and on to Higher Education studies for those wishing to progress in the industry. 

Apprenticeships are delivered in this area and have been developed to appeal to employers wishing to engage their workforce in formal training.

The curriculum area also provides for adult learners by providing full cost basic skills courses in brickwork, painting, plastering and tiling. Normally held on evenings, these are popular with adult learners.

Within our Business Training Solutions we can offer programmes such as NEBOSH Health and Safety Certificate, IOSH Working Safely and the CCNSG Safety Passport as well as the Site Safety Card course, professional qualifications such as the ACS gas and Water Byelaws.  There is a dedicated Gas Centre offering BPEC registered qualifications as well as Legionella Risk Assessment, Disinfection and Energy Efficiency courses

Our Construction Craft programmes benefit from new, fully equipped workshops within the purpose built Construction area, giving you access to a wide range of resources covering Construction Crafts and Technical/Professional programmes. There is a specialist Gas training and assessment centre along with modern classroom facilities for conventional qualifications and programmes for employer engagement.
