Learners will be considered on their individual merits although recent relevant learning at level 2 is advantageous. You will be invited to an information session and all applicants will be asked to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment to determine places offered.
The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university. If you would like to go to university but left school without the qualifications you need, then an Access to HE course could be for you.
There is no upper-age limit for Access to HE courses and these can be completed in one year, on a part-time basis.

How will I learn
You will learn through class sessions, which involve lectures and demonstrations. Interactive learning will include using IT and the virtual learning environment (VLE). Learners are supported and encouraged to develop independent learning techniques.
Successful applicants apply to university for a place on a range of health and social care related degrees. These include nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, dental nurse and physiotherapist.
You can also progress onto the Cert HE in Social Care, which is delivered at the College.
This qualification is awarded by One Awards.
