Emma Smeaton – Business Administration Apprentice

Emma Smeaton – Business Administration Apprentice

Emma Smeaton, Business Administration Apprentice at Redcar & Cleveland College, spoke to us about her experience as an apprentice and why she’d encourage others to apply…

“I wanted to gain a qualification whilst working so when I saw an advert for an apprentice, I decided to apply.

“Business administration appealed to me because it’s a broad area and provides lots of learning opportunities. My apprenticeship is a really varied role so every day is exciting – no two days are the same.

“Throughout my apprenticeship I’ve enjoyed taking on new challenges, improving my skills and adding value to the team.

“Once my apprenticeship has finished, I’d like to undertake further study in business administration to give myself the best possible opportunity to succeed.

“I’d highly recommend an apprenticeship to others, the ability to earn an income whilst also gaining a qualification is great.”
