Governing Body

Governing Body

On behalf of the FE Corporation, I would like to welcome you to Redcar & Cleveland College’s website. Following the recent merger between Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton Riverside College, governors are looking forward to working with students and staff to ensure the colleges continue to provide very high quality education, training and support to prepare all our students for exciting futures in higher education and employment.

The Colleges are housed in attractive, modern and well equipped buildings in Stockton, Thornaby, Billingham and Redcar. The Teesdale campus in Thornaby, close to Stockton centre, and the Redcar & Cleveland College campus, both focus on general and vocational further and higher education, tailored to local communities. Academic courses are offered at SRC Bede Sixth Form in Billingham and the college’s Sports Centre is situated close to this Sixth Form building. NETA Training Group provides a range of industrial training, as well as apprenticeships and some specialist 16 to 18 provision. The Skills Academy, also in Billingham, offers introductory level courses for 14-18 year olds with a focus on practical learning. The College also delivers some provision off-campus in partnership with employers, and voluntary and community organisations.

I hope that the information on the website will be of interest to you. Should you have any queries about the governance arrangements, or if you are interested in becoming a governor or involved with the college, please contact the Clerk to the Corporation at
sarah.thompson@stockton.ac.uk or 01642 865415 and we will be pleased to provide more information.

For further information about the College’s governance, please visit the Stockton Riverside College website.
