Teesside Hospice has officially launched its 10th women’s only Midnight Walk! They are asking all local ladies if they are up for the challenge of joining together, in memory of their loved ones to unite for hospice care.

The Midnight Walk is a flat, wheelchair friendly 11k route taking place in Redcar this June. Featuring a pre-walk party with entertainment, photo booth, dancing, competitions and more – it is set to be the event of the summer.

Taking part in the Midnight Walk can support families in need, raise awareness and get you fit! It's a chance to do something for yourself that will also benefit people affected by cancer and other life limiting illnesses at Teesside Hospice.

Debbie Coulson, Marketing & Fundraising Manager at Teesside Hospice, said “We are so excited to have launched our 10th Midnight Walk – it is one of our biggest events of the year and we can’t wait to see all the ladies uniting together for hospice care. Since it began the Midnight Walk has raised over £600,000 for our patients and their families, which is absolutely amazing and we hope to raise more than ever in 2017!”

Debbie added, “It is only with the kind support of Redcar & Cleveland Council that this event is possible and means every penny raised will directly benefit those we care for. A big shout out to Redcar & Cleveland College too for allowing us to host the pre-party at their site and officially start the walk from there.”

The walk begins at Redcar & Cleveland College, along the Coast Road to Marske and back. Although it is a walking event, it is not to be underestimated and Teesside Hospice will be there to help to give you plenty of tips and advice in the run up to the event. They will also guide you on how to raise as much sponsorship as you can which will directly benefit the patients and families who need their care most.

Be a part of the region’s largest, ladies only sponsored walk. Sign up now and make the most of this year’s Midnight Walk early bird offer and pay just £15 to register before 17th April, instead of £20, visit www.teessidehospice.org or call 01642 811145.
