Students from Redcar & Cleveland College attended the UCAS Higher Education Exhibition held at Teesside University this week where over 100 universities and higher education providers met with students to discuss a range of higher education opportunities. In total, 40 Redcar & Cleveland College students from a range of curriculum areas attended the event, joining the 2,000 strong crowd which attended over the course of the day.

Accompanying the students was Health & Social Care teacher Gillian Morgan who said, “Students who attend this type of event are able to develop a clear focus of what it is they need to achieve in order to gain a place at university.

“They often find themselves exploring opportunities that they hadn’t previously considered such as universities that are outside of their local area.”

Also exhibiting was Redcar and Cleveland College along with Stockton Riverside College who co-hosted a stand providing information about higher education options available across both colleges.

Redcar & Cleveland College exhibitor Marissa Hedley said, “Progression to higher education is important so it was great to see so many students engaging with both ourselves and other HE providers from across the country.”
