The Prince’s Trust delivered at Redcar and Cleveland College.
Redcar and Cleveland College, as part of the Education Training Collective, is one of the largest deliverers of the Prince’s Trust in the North East. The College delivers the 12-week Team course as well as our Prince’s Trust Achieve study programme.
Over the last 23 years we have supported over 3,800 young people though the Team and Achieve programmes delivered in Redcar, Stockton and at community locations across the North East. 82% of the young people participating in our Prince’s Trust programmes progress onto positive destinations: employment, further education, training or volunteering.
TEAM: The Prince’s Trust TEAM programme is a 12-week personal development course aimed at young people aged 16-25 who are currently unemployed. The fast paced, dynamic course focuses on progression and employability with the view to moving young people on to positive outcomes. The course involves young people from all areas of the local community and engages the young people in projects and challenges within their community. The Prince’s Trust Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills is available at Levels E3, L1 and L2.
Team offers work experience, qualifications, practical skills, community projects and a residential week. By the end of the programme, employability skills are developed as well as confidence and motivation, to enable young people to move into work, education or further training.
Team is offered at a variety of centres throughout the North East including Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Bishop Auckland, Catterick and Darlington.
Start dates are September, January and May from each centre.
ACHIEVE STUDY PROGRAMME: This year long course is for young people aged 16-18 who are unsure of what vocational area to progress onto or may need to develop their confidence to enable them to progress. Units of study include enterprise, digital skills, money management and customer service.
The course includes a Prince’s Trust Certificate in Personal Development and Employability at E3, L1 or L2, two days per week on work placement from January, and maths and English functional skills or GCSE.
