Redcar and Cleveland College put on a Feast for the North East

Food lovers from across Teesside got the chance to indulge in some of their favourite treats as Redcar and Cleveland College hosted the second annual North East Feast.

The event aims to bring together the college’s surrounding communities to enjoy some of the amazing food and drink available in the local areas by small independent businesses.

Organiser James Hunter said: “The event first took place last year as a way of bringing the community into the college and it proved a success.

“A lot of people don’t realise the variety of independent shops, stalls and suppliers that are in this area.”

With more than 600 visitors flooding through the gates, student recruitment and engagement officer James said: “This year’s feast was bigger and better with more stalls, music and entertainment. We had people of all ages, from young children to grandparents, coming along to enjoy the event.”
