Redcar & Cleveland College Recognises Best and Brightest at Celebration Event

Students from Redcar & Cleveland College were celebrated last night (Wednesday 21st) at an event to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of its full-time and part-time students.

Hosted by TFM Radio presenters Steve and Karen, the college recognised 23 individuals from courses across the college, sharing the reasons behind each award and highlighting their work as examples of best practice.

Open to all learners studying this academic year, the winning students were nominated by their course leaders and selected based on their commitment and enthusiasm for learning, support of their peers and overall positivity.

Ed Heatley, Acting Principal at Redcar & Cleveland College, said: “We have a number outstanding students at Redcar & Cleveland College and it’s important that we acknowledge that in front of their faculty, parents and peers”

“We aim to provide all of our students with the skills needed to progress directly into careers and I’m confident that all of our winners will go on to succeed in their fields – whether that’s right away or after progressing through higher levels of their chosen courses.”

Awards were presented to learners studying Maths and English, along with subjects including Access to Higher Education, Barbering, Beauty Therapy, Bricklaying & Construction, Building Studies, Business, Carpentry & Joinery, Childcare, Computer Science, Digital Media, Engineering, Hairdressing, Health and Social Care, Plastering, Plumbing, Public Services, Science, Sport, Teacher Training and Travel & Tourism.
