Introduction

Studying a Welding qualification at Redcar & Cleveland College will give you a range of opportunities to pursue a career in a number of engineering roles. Our expert tutors are on hand to teach you the skills and knowledge you need to become an expert in the world of welding.

What will I learn

Basic Power Tools/Hand Tools • Applying for Jobs, CV Writing and Interview Techniques Practical training in different engineering industry disciplines, which could include: • Fabrication & Welding • Design & Draughting • Gas Cutting, Manual and Machine • Plating • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) • Manual Metal Arc (MMA) • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Destructive Testing Techniques (DT)

What's next

Upon completion of this Level 2 qualification you can progress onto one of our Level 3 courses in engineering or construction. You can also prusue an apprenticeship at the college.
