Introduction

This course is aimed at those that would like to develop knowledge and skills in the application of software such as spreadsheets, Databases, email, Word and PowerPoint. Although units can be chosen to match individual need.

What will I learn

This course is aimed at those that would like to develop knowledge and skills in the business and finance area – whetherthat be setting up your own business or working as an accountant. You will complete the Level 2 AAT Book Keeping course and the Level 2 ITQ Business course which includes using computerised accounting software, IT communication fundamentals, using email, desktop publishing, word processing, presentation and excel software unit.

How will I learn

You will learn through a range of formats including practical activities, group discussions, self-study periods as well as completing work placements, enrichment and tutorial sessions.

What's next

On completion of this course you could progress on to our Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT course or you could look to secure an apprenticeship.

Additional Information

Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in Maths and/or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is really valued by employers.
