Introduction

This course offers learners a practical introduction to counselling. Many learners who complete this qualification may wish to progress further with counselling studies, but equally for others it develops their own communication skills and gives them an insight into helping make other informed career and life decisions.

What will I learn

The course comprises of: • Effective communication skills & will include counselling skills practice • How to reflect on personal development & identify areas for future development • Therapeutic models of counselling, ethical frameworks and relationships.

How will I learn

You will take part in Classroom based learning which will incorporate practical fundamental counselling skills. Your tutor will also provide tutorial time to ensure you are on track with assignment work and the subject areas of learning.
