What will I learn

This exciting course provides you with the practical skills required for a career in a wide range of engineering disciplines. You will learn maintenance skills, manufacturing skills, machining and fitting, work planning and how to read engineering drawings.

You will learn through a range of formats including practical activities, group discussions, self-study periods as well as completing work placements, enrichment and tutorial sessions.

What's next

On completion of this course you could progress onto one of our level 3 engineering courses or look to secure an engineering related apprenticeship.

Additional Information

Our fully equipped workshops are designed to simulate a real working environment. This means that you will be required to wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) such as boots, overall and safety glasses. We provide these free of charge, including any other equipment required to operate safely and efficiently during your studies.
