Employers have identified future skills gaps and converging job roles that the rapidly evolving Digital/IT sector is experiencing due to the demands of new and emerging digital technologies. This qualification has been designed to give you comprehensive skills and knowledge, not available in the smaller qualification sizes. You’ll develop specialist knowledge, understanding and skills in your chosen area, to prepare for employment in Web Application Developer, Software Engineer, Mobile Application Developer, Application Developer, Software Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, Statistical Data Analyst, Big Data Architect, Digital Data Analyst or Customer Insight Analyst, Software Developer, Digital Marketer, Software Tester, Data Analyst, Cyber Intrusion Analyst, IT Technical Sales and Digital Service Operator

What will I learn

You will learn about how systems are analysed, created, developed and kept secure by using IT software and hardware. This course will also allow you to explore the different techniques used to produce analytical systems, web pages and games to gain practical skills. You will work with local businesses on IT projects to develop industry experience.

How will I learn

You will learn through a range of formats including practical activities, group discussions, self-study periods as well as completing work placements, enrichment and tutorial sessions.

What's next

After completing this course you could look to secure a higher apprenticeship, progress into higher education to study a computing, IT or computer science related degree or enter employment.

Additional Information

Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in Maths and/or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is really valued by employers.

You will work with businesses and clients on live projects to provide you will strong work experiences and a great CV!

You will learn and develop your skills on industry standard software and equipment.
