What will I learn

On our welding course you will develop theoretical knowledge in health & safety, basic power tools/ hand tools, welding and mechanical principles and engineering maths. Alongside practical training in different engineering industry disciplines including metal cutting, metal inert gas (MIG), tungsten inert gas (TIG), manual metal arc (MMA), welding techniques, non-destructive testing (NDT) and destruction testing techniques (DT). Practical training in different engineering industry disciplines, which could include: • Fabrication & Welding • Gas Cutting, Manual and Machine • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) • Manual Metal Arc (MMA) • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Destructive Testing Techniques (DT)

How will I learn

This course will include a mix of theory based learning in classrooms, and practical learning with local and national employers.
