Future progression

Once students have completed their one or two year course, they have the opportunity to progress onto other vocational courses, employment, supported internships or voluntary work. We work closely with students and families to regularly check that students are making the progress required to achieve their progression goal.

What will you do?
Our courses will help you prepare for your next steps. You will be able to develop key skills such as teamwork, time management and interpersonal skills. You will cover topics such as food preparation, personal development, skills for independent life and English and maths, as well as taking part in enrichment and tutorial sessions. We will work closely with you and your family to prepare you for your next steps. Our curriculum design focuses on the four key Preparing for Adulthood themes; employment, independent living, good health, and friends and family and community, ensuring that we can best prepare you to make the next steps in your personal journey. All of our work is based around larger projects where you will get chance to practise the skills needed for future progression opportunities.

You sill have the opportunity to take part in weekly employability sessions to gain work experience in areas that you are interested in to continue to develop key skills. You will also meet a range of exciting employers and have the chance to listen to a number of guest speakers.
