This full-time programme is delivered over three days (including one day placement) it is the first year of a Foundation degree for Health and Social Care practitioners.
Level 4 modules: • Introduction to Study Skills in Health and Social Care • Introduction to Medicines Management • Reflective Practice in Health and Social Care • Safeguarding Vulnerable Individuals • Psychosocial Context of Care • Contemporary Care Practice • Carry out 100 placement hours in a healthcare or social care setting. Students are responsible for arranging their own placements
Learning will be classroom based with a variety of lectures, electronic resources, group work, presentations, debates and discussions.
Once you have completed your studies you can progress on to a range of Health and Social Care programmes determined by your own area of interest – this could include progression onto Level 5 (second year of programme) or into University or employment.
The programme is assessed through course work which includes essays, reports, case studies, presentations, and research reports.
