Brickwork and plastering students from across the Stockton Riverside College Group were given a taste of what to expect in the workplace after an industry visit from Ox Tools who offer a range of tools and accessories for a variety of trades including joinery, plastering, bricklaying. Ox Tools were invited to Redcar & Cleveland College to introduce students and apprentices to a range of tools they could come across whilst working.

The demonstration of tools included an emphasis on caring for your tools and how to avoid damage. Stockton Riverside College Brickwork tutor Alex said: “It’s great for students and apprentices to get a look at industry tools to assess the quality for themselves and also understand how much things cost and why it’s so important that they clean their tools and lock them away.”

Brickwork apprentice Jack added: “I’ve previously used some tools from Ox Tools but it’s been interesting seeing the full range. It’s good for new or younger apprentices and gives them insight in to what they can buy in the future and what options are available.”

Ox Tools have been recognised for their range of tools and as the winner of the 2018 Hand Tool Brand of the Year award at the On The Tools Awards.
