Introduction

Ever wanted to be the next: 2D/3D graphical artist working with Triple A games creators? The next animator of a box office cartoon? Perhaps, the next developer of the next viral interactive advert? Our OCR Level 1 Cambridge National Certificate in Creative Media is the starter course for you! It consists of two mandatory units and two optional units: Pre-Production Skills, Creating Digital Graphics and Creating a Digital Animation and Creating Interactive Multimedia Products.

What will I learn

This introductory course will teach you a range of basic skills ready for a career in the creative industry. You will learn about professional standards, the expectations of the industry, conceptual understanding of the uses of creative media and how to apply media practice to express your ideas to a range of audiences. You will also complete a work placement and take part in our enrichment programme.

How will I learn

You will learn through a range of formats including practical activities, group discussions, self-study periods as well as completing work placements, enrichment and tutorial sessions.

What's next

On completion of this course you could progress onto our Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media.

Additional Information

Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in maths and/or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is really valued by employers.

You will learn and develop your skills on industry standard software and equipment.
