Introduction

This ActiveIQ qualification is aimed at all level 2 or level 3 qualified instructors and trainers. You will already have knowledge and skills in fitness instruction. Some experience of studio cycling is an advantage. As the course requires physical exertion and individual participation (essential), a degree of physical fitness is necessary.

What will I learn

Indoor cycling is group exercise performed on stationary bikes. These units will teach you how to simulate hill-climbing, sprints and races choreographed to music. You will develop your enthusiasm and motivational style as you work with different groups. Units include: ? Planning a studio cycling session ? Instructing a studio cycling session.

How will I learn

Learning is done via a range of assessment methods, which include practical observations, group and peer assessments, interactive workshops and a variety of Q & A techniques. Lessons and learning take place in the gym, sport hall and classroom.

Additional Information

Adult learners do not have to purchase the college sport and fitness kit but are advised to wear loose-fitting clothing which is suitable for a practical setting.
