We've caught up with Painting and Decorating Apprentice, Adam Siddaway, to speak about why he chose an apprenticeship...
"I’m currently completing my apprenticeship in Painting & Decorating with Redcar & Cleveland College through my employer, G.V Decorators.
"I decided to look into the apprenticeship route because I thought it would be a great opportunity to work with a reputable employer and earn an income, as well as gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
"I’ve really enjoyed the practical side of my course, as it’s given me the opportunity to learn new skills in painting and decorating which will help me in my future career. My tutor at the college has been great and thoroughly supported me with my progress on my course.
"If you are thinking of an apprenticeship, I’d definitely recommend it. It’s a great opportunity to earn while you learn and gain a qualification, and I’ve also really enjoyed the study day at college as it has given me the chance to meet new people whilst also improving my skills."
