Level 3 Childcare students, Jasmine and Shanelle, told us what they love about the college and why they would encourage others to apply!

What do you enjoy most about the college?

Jasmine: “It’s just a great college and because it’s local, it’s really easy to get to. I live in Liverton Mines, so every other college would mean I’d need to travel for ages.”

Shanelle: “The facilities are fantastic here, especially in the nursery setting. It’s a really hands-on course, which will definitely help us when we’re looking for a job.”

Why would you encourage other people to apply?

Shanelle: “As part of our course, we go on a day’s placement every week and we also get the opportunity to take part in week-long placements within a nursery – which allows us to gain real work experience and help us to improve our CV.”

Jasmine: “To be honest, it’s just a really good atmosphere here. It’s a really friendly place and all the tutors are so supportive – they always want us to do our best.”
