What will I learn

The T Level qualification in Gas Engineering is a two year full-time course which has been designed in partnership with employers that is aimed to give you the technical knowledge and skills to support you to move into a career in engineering. Each T Level qualification also has a requirement for at least 45 days work placement in the relevant industrial sector with an employer-set project. You will complete units in the following: • Health and safety • The use of tools, equipment and materials for gas engineering • Gas systems • Gas engineering science • Pipework technology • Legislation and industry guidance • Building technology • System installation

How will I learn

The course covers both practical and theoretical content. You will be assessed by online unit tests at the end of each module. The course is very practical based and the focus will be on learning and practising in the workshop.

What's next

You could progress onto university to study engineering related degree programmes, move into employment in the engineering sectors or look to secure a higher apprenticeship.

Additional Information

Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in maths and/or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is really valued by employers.
