Huge changes are coming to the beauty sector. In this fast-evolving field, practitioners will be required to boost their skills and certifications to ensure they meet the new quality standards and regulations set by the government.
The impact of the new legislation will likely lead to a large proportion of those working in the sector seeking in-depth, level 4 training courses. Even practitioners who have taken short, single-day training courses will likely need to upskill to continue performing advanced beauty treatments on their clients.
At Redcar and Cleveland College, we are one of the only providers in the North-east offering a fully certificated VTCT (iTec) level 4 training course for beauty practitioners. Our Advanced Aesthetics and Salon Management qualification runs over 34 weeks on Mondays from 09:00am until 4:00pm.*
With more demand for advanced aesthetic treatments, practitioners can boost their repertoire and succeed in the industry. With a level 4 advanced qualification, practitioners will have a higher earning potential and a competitive advantage over those who have not moved with the times.
Level 4 training covers radiofrequency, chemical peels, laser hair removal, dermaplaning and microneedling on clients. Learners will also study health and safety, client care management, sales, operations and PR, providing them with the tools to start their own business in the industry.
*To be eligible for Level 4 training, learners must have a level 3 beauty qualification and be aged 18+
