Access to Higher Education

What is an access course?

An Access to Higher Education Diploma is a level 3 qualification. The course is a great stepping stone to help you build skills and knowledge, and work towards degree-level study. You will cover relevant training to achieve the entry requirements you need to progress onto a higher education course.

How long is an access course?

An access course is studied part-time for one year. This flexible delivery allows you to study around work and life commitments.

What qualification will I get?

Our Access to Higher Education Diplomas are awarded by AIM.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements and no upper age limit.

How do I apply?

Visit the course page and select ‘apply’. Fill in your details and a member of our friendly team will be in touch with next steps.

Funding is available

You may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover access course fees.

Note: Student Finance England will ‘write off’ the Advanced Learner Loan balance owed from an access course if a learner has progressed and completed a higher education course.
