Course overview
This qualification with help to develop learners’ understanding of Autism and the principles of supporting individuals with Autism. It covers the person-centred approach and influence of positive communication methods, how to support positive behaviour and how individuals with Autism can be supported to live healthy and fulfilled lives.

Course information
Assessment involves completion of relevant work booklets or online units which are completed as distance learning and submitted to the college.
Upon completion of the course, students can apply for other distance learning programmes, use as APL for QCF qualifications where appropriate and use their newly acquired knowledge in practice.
This qualification is designed for learners who wish to develop an understanding of Autism and how to support individuals with Autism.
