Our level 1 course will help to prepare you for your next steps. You will be able to develop key skills such as teamwork, time management and interpersonal skills. You will also study topics such as basic food preparation, personal development, skills for independent life and English and maths as well as taking part in enrichment and tutorial sessions.
Course information
Once you have completed this course you could progress on to a vocational course or you may achieve a greater level of independent living or move on to supported employment, supported internships or voluntary work.
No formal entry requirements
Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in maths and/or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is really valued by employers.
This course offers a wide range of practical and theory sessions which are delivered in our Foundation Learning classrooms. In addition to this you will also take part in additional curriculum and support activities such as; work placement, enrichment and tutorials.
