Training in our industry standard salons will give you a taste of life in a real working environment ensuring that you progress from College salon-ready.
Our level 1 course will provide you with introductory skills in hair and beauty and covers topics such as shampooing and conditioning hair, blow drying and plaiting hair along with basic makeup application, hand and nail care and nail art.
Course information
You could progress on to one our level 2 courses in hairdressing, hair and media makeup or beauty therapy or look to secure an apprenticeship.
Two GCSEs grade 3 or above including English and maths or an entry level qualification in a related course.
Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in maths and/or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is
really valued by employers.
You will require a uniform and kit as part of this course. You will be able to purchase these at the beginning of your course.
This course offers a wide range of practical and theory sessions which are delivered in our specialist salons and classrooms. In addition to this you will also take part in theoretical sessions, work placement, enrichment and tutorials.
