Course overview
This course is aimed at those that would like to develop knowledge and skills in the application of software such as spreadsheets, Databases, email, Word and PowerPoint. Although units can be chosen to match individual need.
On this exciting course you will learn IT skills such as cyber security, data analytics and project development, as well as hardware and software installation. You will gain strong industry experience by working with local businesses on technical IT issues and create solutions.
Course information
On completion of this course you could look to secure an apprenticeship.
Three GCSEs grade 5 or above including English and maths.
Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in Maths and/or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is really valued by employers.
You will learn through a range of formats including practical activities, group discussions, self-study periods as well as completing work placements, enrichment and tutorial sessions.
