Introduction

To develop highly valued professional and employability skills. These include communication and customer service skills, and team working skills, as well as an awareness of health and safety and spray tan application.

What will I learn

This course is perfect if you wish to pursue a career, be employed or self-employed in the hairdressing or beauty therapy industry, or to enhance their current treatment menu. You may be required to practice the techniques on each other prior to your assessment. Units covered include: • Spray tanning techniques • Consultation techniques and client care • Contra-indications • Health, safety and hygiene • Short written test & a practical assessment

How will I learn

This course includes a range of both theory and practical elements where you will learn through demonstration and application, in the College’s dedicated beauty treatment salons.

What's next

Learners may choose to develop their knowledge and skills further and progress onto: • Level 1 or 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy • Level 1 or 2 Diploma in Hairdressing • Level 2 Diploma in Hair & Make-up Artistry • Employment within the Hair & Beauty industry.
