It was the case of turning a negative into a positive for former jeweller Phillip.
After being made redundant from 15 years as a jeweller, Phillip felt it was now or never when it came to pursuing his passion for fitness.
He said: “I really wasn’t enjoying working in retail and I knew I needed to make a change. I knew I wanted to pursue fitness but I needed a course that would fit around work and family life.”
As a husband and father of three boys, it was important for Phillip to find a course that suited his busy schedule.
He added: “It wasn’t always easy balancing everything but I’m so glad I did. I completed a level 2 and level 3 qualification and this gave me the confidence to follow my ambitions and start my own personal training business. The course leaders were always there to support me and it was nice to work alongside others with similar passions, it didn’t feel like school at all!”
Phillip is working hard and now managing his own business, Phil Hewitt Personal Training. He is grateful to be working with others and positively helping them to reach their goals.
