Meet the team

Bailie Stephenson

Bailie has worked at Redcar and Cleveland College for over 5 years.

During that time, she has made a fantastic contribution to supporting current and potential students when deciding their next steps into further education.

Bailie has a very diverse understanding of the college offer and has a passion for ensuring students enrol onto the right course for them.

She said: “There is nothing more rewarding than helping the younger generation and ensuring that they are making the best choices for their education. I particularly enjoy meeting students and their parents at our open events”.

Connor Greet

Connor has worked in the health and wellbeing sector since gaining his degree in Sport Studies in 2016.

Since then, he has started a successful business CG Personal Training & Fitness which he runs alongside his current role as a Student Recruitment Officer and understands the importance of hard work and commitment whilst studying the right course. Connor feels that his motivational and positive attitude is reflected in both of his roles and encourages others to use their strengths to reach their full potential.

Despite being the newest member of the team, Connor has an excellent understanding of the college offer and Sport in particular. Having worked within the NHS and in schools before Connor understands how Redcar and Cleveland College courses can help students progress into different careers.

Connor said, ‘I understand that at 16 years old it can be difficult to make the right decision when progressing onto a college course, however, myself and the team would like to help and support as best we can to make that decision a little bit easier.’

If you would like to have a look around the college, Connor is available for one-to-one tours which can be booked via our website or by phone.

Adam Howe

Adam has worked in an education setting for the last 5 years.

He thoroughly enjoys his role as a Student Recruitment Officer as it allows him to combine his experience as a Youth Worker with knowledge of further and higher education to help students choose the best course for their chosen pathway in life.

Adam attends a range of events in school such as assemblies, lunchtime drops in, parents' evenings and careers fairs which he enjoys as Adam says that this allows him to talk to students about our courses and what we can offer them.

Adam also enjoys showing students round the college on campus tours. This really benefits students as it allows them to see our amazing facilities, meet our friendly staff and get a real feel of what it’s like to be a college student.

Alice Hill

This is Alice from the Student Recruitment team – she is here and happy to help, and motivated to help the young people in our area reach their potential.

Alice meets with students and parents through the events she attends at many schools including assemblies, lunch drops and parents' evenings.

She also helps to host a range of open events at our brilliant campuses! Alice loves that her job allows her to work with people and have a positive impact by helping school leavers make informed and exciting choices for their future.

She says that “There are so many opportunities and progression routes to consider, and they can start with our wide range of courses! I’m sure there is something for everyone and I look forward to supporting you throughout your journey as you decide!“

Sarah Kellaway

Sarah has worked in Further Education for the last 8 years, and within Education and Training for the last 15 years. This has given her great experiences and knowledge that she hopes will benefit students greatly.

Sarah says “helping students explore their after-school options is an honor and it is lovely to see when students realise how they can achieve their dreams”.

Sarah understands there are many choices and options for students these days and the time and dedication it can take from several parties to ensure individuals are on the right path.

Sarah appreciates that every student is different and their needs and requirements must be looked at individually to ensure the best outcome for the student.

Emma Thornton

Emma has worked in the Beauty industry for 8 years after studying Level 2 Beauty Therapy at Stockton Riverside College and since then has ran her own successful beauty business alongside her role in the Student Recruitment team. This has given her the knowledge and skills to be able to give students the best start when considering their future career.

Emma says “It’s really rewarding knowing that my advice to students is going to help them in their future endeavors. I had an advisor help me make the right choice for me and I know how much it’s helped me be where I am today, so I know what a big impact it can have on other students”.

Allie Kirkbright

Allie has worked for the college for 2 years.

She also studied a Level 3 Business course at the college from leaving school, going onto university at Northumbria. Allie has also completed a Customer Service apprenticeship at Redcar and Cleveland College.

Being a part of the student recruitment team, Allie is keen to pass on her knowledge to students about what we offer and the different courses suitable for the student’s career goals.

Allie says “I enjoy going to events and speaking to students to support them in the different options available to them. I can discuss my experiences and give information on my experience with studying a full-time course and an apprenticeship at the college. It’s rewarding seeing a student excel in the course they are really passionate about”
