Introduction

If you are a hands-on, practical kind of person and like to get things working, qualifying in a trade might be for you. There are many opportunities to work for large and small companies – or you could become self-employed. The Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry & Joinery is designed to develop skills and knowledge enabling them to gain employment in site carpentry or bench joinery.

What will I learn

Our level 2 course is very hands-on with learning and practising taking place within our industry standard joineryworkshops. You will learn how to construct stud walls, basic roof structures, floors, doors and window frames, skirting boards and kitchens, using a range of hand and power tools.

How will I learn

This course offers a wide range of practical content which is supported by theoretical sessions. You will also take part in work placements, enrichments and tutorials

What's next

After you have completed this course you could progress on to our Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry or continue learning by securing yourself an apprenticeship.
