Course overview
The VTCT Level 2 Award in Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in shaping (tweezers) and colouring (tinting eyelashes and eyebrows) with further progression opportunities.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your practical skills to a high level of occupational ability to enable you to provide shaping and colouring treatments for the eyelashes and eyebrows to enhance the ranges of services and techniques offered to clients.
You will learn about different colouring characteristics and the chemical process of tinting to provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments to enhance the client’s features.How to maintain the original eyebrow shape or to change the shape of the eyebrow if desired to compliment the clients face shape.
How to use of a variety of consultation techniques to establish the treatment outcomes required, recognising contra-indications, prepare for service and produce a treatment plan whilst maintaining effective health, safety and hygiene working practice.
This qualification has been specifically designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the practical skills required for an effective application and long-lasting results.
Course information
Your knowledge and understanding will be collected in a portfolio of evidence. There is one external paper that must be achieved to provide evidence of your knowledge and understanding in this unit.
Guidance for this will come from your assessor.
Your assessor will also observe your practical performance over several assessments. Your Pass grade will be determined by achievement of assessment criteria and achievement of additional performance standards.

- VTCT Level 2 Award in Eyelash Perming
- VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make-Up
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, although some experience with maintaining eyelash & eyebrow area would be an advantage.
