Course overview
This qualification will provide learners with a detailed understanding of behaviour that challenges in children, including assessments of behaviour and avoidance techniques. They will look at how different coexisting conditions can impact on behaviour that challenges and will learn how to support children who experience these complex behaviours.

Principles of Intervention when Working with Behaviour that Challenges in Children and Young People
Behaviour that Challenges and Mental Health in Children
Behaviour that Challenges and Learning Disabilities
Behaviour that Challenges, Sensory Issues and Autism
Legislation Supporting Behaviour that Challenges in Children
Course information
Assessment involves completion of online units which are completed as distance learning and submitted to the college.
Upon completion of the course, students can apply for other distance learning programmes, use as APL for QCF qualifications where appropriate and use their newly acquired knowledge in practice.
A willingness to develop an understanding of reasons children display challenging behaviour and how to support them.
