Course overview
This is a course developed for trainee technicians and engineers, designers and production personnel working in a manufacturing or process environment within the mechanical engineering environment. It develops key underpinning knowledge, skills and understanding associated with in the process and petro–chemical industries.

Course information
You can progress onto either the HND Mechanical Engineering course at Redcar & Cleveland College or a degree programme at Teesside University.
You require GCSE (grade 4/C or above) in English, Maths, Chemistry or Physics, plus either (A Level, BTEC ND, Access, IB).
You are required to complete two pieces of assessment in each module which can be in the form of written assignments, laboratory reports, time-constrained assessments and some vocation-specific modules carry an end of unit examination.
