This course is delivered through a combination of both practical and theory sessions. Practical sessions will take place in our specialist health and social training wing which will provide you with the very best equipment to train with. During the course you will cover key topics such as communication, equality and diversity, human growth and development and safeguarding as well as completing a work placement.
Course information
After you have completed this course you could progress onto our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care or secure an apprenticeship. Following this you can enter a vast array of health and social care related roles including nursing, paramedic, radiography, social work, occupational therapist or counselling.
Four GCSEs grade 3 or above or a level 1 qualification in a related course.
Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in maths and/ or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is
really valued by employers.
This course offers a wide range of practical and theory sessions which are delivered in our specialist health and social care wing and classrooms. In addition to this you will also take part in theoretical sessions, work placement, enrichment and tutorials.
