This course offers you an all-round look at the sports industry and teaches you vital skills that will upskill you for a career in sports. Covering coaching and participating in sport, personal exercise, fitness and nutrition and tactical awareness, this course provides a balance between both practical and theory sessions.
Course information
On completion of this course you could look to pursue a range of careers such as an: sports coach, personal trainer, physiotherapist, nutritionist or leisure assistant.
4 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above or a level 1 qualification in a related course.
Maths and English:
Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a grade 4/C or above in maths and/or English, will attend
weekly sessions with specialist tutors towork towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on
your main course and is really valued by employers.
This course offers a wide range of practical and theory sessions which are delivered outdoors and within our indoor sports facilities which include a sports hall and gym. In addition to this you will also take part in theoretical sessions, work placement, enrichment and tutorials.
