Course overview
The T Level qualification in Maintenance, installation and repair for engineering & manufacturing technologies in a Mechanical specialism, is a two year full-time course which has been designed in partnership with employers that is aimed to give you the technical knowledge and skills to support you to move into a career in Engineering. Each T Level qualification also has a requirement for at least 45 days work placement in the relevant industrial sector with an employer-set project.
This course will teach you key industry skills including robotics, programmable logic control, hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as the principles of mechanical engineering.
Course information
On completion of this course, you can progress into employment, higher apprenticeships in the engineering sectors or university to study Engineering or other related degree programmes.
Five GCSEs grade 5 and above. These must include a minimum of grade 5 in English and maths.*
*If you do not already have an English and maths GCSE grade 4-9, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main programme of study.
