Course overview

The T Level qualification in Maintenance, installation and repair for engineering & manufacturing technologies in a Mechanical specialism, is a two year full-time course which has been designed in partnership with employers that is aimed to give you the technical knowledge and skills to support you to move into a career in Engineering. Each T Level qualification also has a requirement for at least 45 days work placement in the relevant industrial sector with an employer-set project.

This course will teach you key industry skills including robotics, programmable logic control, hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as the principles of mechanical engineering.

<p>Five GCSEs grade 5 and above. These must include a minimum of grade 5 in English and maths.*</p><p>*If you do not already have an English and maths GCSE grade 4-9, you will continue to work towards this as part of your main programme of study.</p>

Course information

On completion of this course, you can progress into employment, higher apprenticeships in the engineering sectors or university to study Engineering or other related degree programmes.
