Apprentice of the Year 2025 and passionate trainee project manager, Milly is crafting her own success as an apprentice at Redcar & Cleveland College alongside working at Durata.

Milly started a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship at Redcar and Cleveland College. As part of her training, Milly completed a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering - achieving distinctions across the board in all modules.

Finding her passion for engineering all the way back in secondary school, Milly was the only female in her class at the time, something she’s really proud of: "The experience at Redcar and Cleveland College has been crucial to my development both personally and professionally. With the support of my lecturers, I completed my studies alongside my apprenticeship and my full time job, and my lecturers helped me to balance my workload to ensure my work was completed to a high standard.

"Studying electrical engineering has helped me to develop in my current role as a trainee project manager at Durata and has inspired to continue my academic journey."
