C&G Diploma in Hair Services (Level 3)

Course overview

This is a course for those who wish to progress from Level 2 Hairdressing and develop their skills and knowledge to an advanced Level 3 standard. It is for students who are already working in the industry and wish to further their career into salon management, teaching and/or training within the hairdressing industry. This course is fantastic for building up skills and knowledge to work on more advanced cutting and focusing on the colour change process.

This Level 3 qualification is a specialist award which will allow you to develop your hairdressing skills further. This course recognises your current level of skills as a hairdresser and allows you to progress and gain skills at a higher professional standard.

The Level 3 programme requires competence in a broad range of work activities which are performed in a variety of contexts. It also requires you to demonstrate your capability to undertake additional responsibilities and the control and guidance of others.

Units covered include:

Hair colouring services, colour correction services,

hair cutting services, blow drying and finishing services, setting and dressing services, hairdressing consultation and health and safety in the salon.

Plus, optional units to reflect skills and knowledge. This may include, competition work, perming and occasion hair services.
