C&G Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing (Level 2)

Course overview

This is a course to allow you to gain fantastic knowledge and creative skills for employment within the hairdressing industry. The programme has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in the creative art of cutting and styling ladies hair. You will become experienced in effective shampooing and conditioning services, learn the artistic skill of colouring and lightening hair and also know how to provide an excellent consultation service for your clients.

The Level 2 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing is an internationally recognised qualification that is essential for a career in Hairdressing. The qualification comprises of the following units:

  • Cut ladies hair
  • Colour & lighten hair
  • Blow dry and style hair
  • Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
  • Set and dress hair
  • Style hair with electrical equipment
  • Advise and consult with clients
  • Health, safety and hygiene.

Plus, optional units to reflect skills and knowledge. This may include competition work, perming and plaiting.
