Studying at Plumbing at Redcar & Cleveland College will allow you to will learn plumbing skills in our large state of the art workshops. Our excellent facilities are provided to give you the opportunity to work to a realistic scale. In addition, you will learn and develop important employability skills such as effective working relationships, safe working practices and communication.

The Level 1 course provides you with the opportunity to develop the basic skills of plumbing. It covers a number of key practical and theoretical techniques including ground drainage, copper and plastic pressure.

At Level 2 you will study the following subjects: safety in plumbing, key principles, common processes, effective working relationships, cold water systems, domestic hot water systems, sanitation systems, central heating systems (pipework only), electrical supply and earth continuity, environmental awareness, effective working relationships.

At Level 3 you will study the following subjects: complex cold water systems, complex domestic hot water systems, central heating systems, electrical supply, environmental awareness, understanding resources within Building Services Environment (BSE).
