Introduction

The VTCT Skills Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Services is for 19+ learners seeking to gain the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills within the beauty industry to provide treatments to the public and to gain employment within this sector. The aim of this course is to develop knowledge and understanding of relevant requirements, regulations and safe practice treatments to carry out level 2 and level 3 beauty therapy treatments. Throughout the programme there will be a development of knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, establish their suitability for treatment and formulate a specific treatment plan tailored to suit individual needs. Learners will also be able to provide specific aftercare and home care advice. Units covered within the programme including facial skincare, providing brow and eyelash treatment, manicure and pedicure treatments, waxing, applying microdermabrasion, body and facial electrotherapy treatment and body massage. This programme is designed to provide occupational competence at level 2 and 3, and provides a sound platform into further training at level 3 and 4.
